I am firmly convinced of the importance of respecting individuals' decisions regarding the right to a dignified death. Moreover, I believe this issue touches upon other matters, such as the quality of care in hospitals and clinics. The right to health and a dignified death—within a framework of proper, respectful treatment—must be discussed publicly. These topics should also be illuminated through the arts (literature, photography, cinema, music, documentaries, theater, etc.).
